Emily is a warm, person-centered counselor who focuses on an authentic and holistic approach.  She believes that the path to mental well-being is unique for every person, and that embracing authenticity is a vital part of lasting growth.  Emily recognizes that there is a time for lightheartedness in therapy as well as a time for seriousness, and that the journey to mental health allows for both levity and weight.

Emily works with individual clients with a wide range of needs including low self esteem, trauma, anxiety, depression, body image issues and binge eating, LGBTQ issues, and challenging life transitions.  Her approach is client-centered and relational, tailoring sessions to meet the individual needs of her clients.  Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work, and somatic therapy, Emily works to empower her clients to explore, process, heal, and grow.  She also has options for Walk and Talk Therapy (location and time permitting).

In couples counseling, Emily works collaboratively with partners to explore shared goals, needs, and values, helping to strengthen emotional bonds and rebuild trust. Whether navigating relationship challenges, marital difficulties, or family discord, she provides a supportive space for couples to improve communication and create more resilient, connected partnerships.
