Zoe’s goal is to help you feel safe and supported exploring your thoughts, emotions, body responses, and systemic influences, drawing on various evidence-based modalities including CBT, motivational interviewing, acceptance & commitment therapy, and interpersonal psychotherapy. In couples therapy, Zoe draws from the Gottman method, helping couples strengthen their connection through finding meaningful commonalities, healthy differentiation, and resiliency through trust and communication.
Zoe holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Denver, with a concentration in Health and Wellness. Her work draws from the interplay between social systems and individual wellbeing, focusing on preventative, holistic, and strengths-based care. Prior to pursuing her social work degree, Zoe worked as a paraprofessional and behavioral therapist for youth on the Autism Spectrum, as well as other experiences that all led to her passion for supporting others navigating life’s peaks and valleys.
Zoe is skilled in and holds special certifications in the following areas:
Trauma Informed
Zoe provides trauma-informed care utilizing several therapeutic approaches to meet each client’s unique needs while prioritizing emotional safety and resilience.
CBT therapy
Zoe is also a CBT trained therapist. CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) teaches you practical skills to understand and change the patterns that keep you stuck—especially the link between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. She will teach you how to spot unhelpful thinking patterns, how to challenge and reframe thoughts, how to regulate emotions and how to change behaviors that maintain symptoms. CBT is a structured and goal-focused modality, with practice between sessions so you see changes in real life.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy
DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) is a skills-based therapy that helps you manage intense emotions and build steadier relationships and routines. It’s especially useful when emotions feel “too big,” reactions feel hard to control, or life feels like a roller coaster. Zoe helps patients who feel overwhelmed by big emotions, stuck in painful patterns, or unsure how to cope when life gets heavy. She will help you build practical skills to manage anxiety, depression, mood swings, and impulsive reactions—so you can respond to stress without shutting down, exploding, or turning on yourself.
Motivational Interviewing
Zoe uses a therapeutic tool called Motivational Interviewing (MI). MI helps you explore what you truly want to change—without judgment or pressure. Zoe asks thoughtful questions, and reflects back what she's hearing, to help you sort through mixed feelings so you can feel clearer and more confident in your next steps. Together, you will identify your values, strengths, and personal reasons for change, then turn that insight into realistic goals and a plan that fits your life. Zoes' role is to support your autonomy and help you build momentum in a way that feels encouraging, empowering, and sustainable.
Beyond her work, Zoe values spending time with her husband, friends, family, and dog. She feels recharged and empowered by being physically active, spending time in nature, and hosting game nights. Zoe’s community describes her as genuine, open-minded, funny, athletic, supportive, and loyal.
