Brenda is passionate about helping individuals and couples build personalized “tool belts” of skills to successfully navigate life’s challenges — both within and beyond the therapy room. She works with clients facing depression, anxiety, emotional distress, relationship difficulties, substance use, eating disorders, and trauma, with the goal of fostering balance, resilience, and long-term well-being.

Believing that every person is wonderfully unique, Brenda is committed to helping clients work within their own belief systems and values to create meaningful, lasting change. She offers culturally sensitive and belief-based counseling, honoring the diversity of backgrounds and perspectives her clients bring. Brenda also emphasizes the interconnectedness of mental and physical health, recognizing that one cannot truly thrive without the other.

Brenda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marriage and Family Sciences from Brigham Young University – Idaho and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University. She is a lifelong learner who actively pursues continuing education and advanced certifications, including Brainspotting Phase 1 and Couples Brainspotting, Eating Disorder Intuitive Therapy, Clinical Trauma Training, DBT and Emotion Regulation, CBT, PTSD Counseling, and Addiction and Mental Health Dual Diagnosis Integration.

With over 20 years of experience working with all ages, from toddlers and children to pre-teens, adolescents and adults, Brenda has supported individuals across a wide range of settings, including primary programs, youth camps, women's organizations, and advocacy roles within substance abuse and dual diagnosis mental health counseling. Brenda’s approach is warm, practical, and empowering — helping clients uncover their inner strengths, cultivate emotional resilience, and live healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Brenda is happily married to her husband of over 23 years and in her free time loves going on adventures with her three children. She and her husband love the outdoors and as a family enjoy rock climbing, hiking, caving, and camping. During her personal time she loves snatching up a warm blanket, a cup of hot chocolate, and a good book; preferably during a snowstorm.
