Maria brings experience supporting individuals across all stages of life — from young children and adolescents to adults — in a variety of settings. Her background includes providing compassionate care within hospice organizations, helping individuals navigate the profound journey of grief and adjust to life after loss. Maria also works with clients facing complex challenges such as chronic pain and illness, trauma, body image issues, gender identity exploration, anxiety, and depression — experiences that can often feel isolating and overwhelming.

Rooted in empathy, collaboration, and non-judgment, Maria partners with clients to establish meaningful goals for therapy, whether that involves processing grief, strengthening resilience amid health struggles, building healthier coping strategies, or healing from past trauma.

In her work with couples, Maria guides partners to explore shared goals, needs, and values, helping to rebuild trust, foster deeper emotional bonds, and create a more resilient foundation for the relationship.

Maria’s therapeutic approach is dynamic and holistic, drawing from somatic psychology, mindfulness practices, dreamwork, sandtray therapy, Jungian depth psychology, image-based work, visualization techniques, and active imagination. She tailors each session to honor the uniqueness of every client's journey toward healing and self-discovery.

Maria holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Regis University. She is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can reconnect with their inner strengths and move forward with greater clarity and hope.
