Licensed Professional Counselor/ Teen Specialist Specializing in Dissociative Disorders (DID) & Mood Disorders

Choosing a therapist is a deeply personal decision. Whether you’re coming to therapy with clear goals or feeling unsure, hesitant, or overwhelmed about where to begin, you’re welcome here. I work with clients at all stages of the healing journey and believe there is no “right” way to start—just a willingness to show up as you are.

I support teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, attention-related challenges, emotional distress, anger, trauma, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, relationship difficulties, and co-occurring concerns. My goal is to provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered to move toward meaningful change at your own pace.

My approach to therapy is collaborative and client-centered, drawing from CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered, Solution-Focused, and Reality Therapy. Grounded in a multicultural, trauma-informed framework, I focus on helping you identify your strengths, understand what’s holding you back, and build practical tools that support lasting growth.

Areas of Specialized Experience

Teen Counseling Specialist
I have extensive experience working with adolescents, including serving as Coordinator of Mental Health Services at Jefferson Center, where I created and developed various programs to provide specialized treatment for teens; provided therapy and evaluations for youth; and supported adolescents through complex emotional, behavioral, and life challenges.

Dissociative Disorders (DID) & Mood Disorders
I bring specialized experience working with dissociative and mood disorders and was honored with a nomination for the Golden Light Bulb Award at the CBHC Conference in 2017. My work emphasizes safety, stabilization, and compassionate understanding.

Trauma & Crisis Intervention
With over 15 years of experience, I have a strong background in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care. I integrate multiple therapeutic approaches to meet each client’s unique needs while prioritizing emotional safety and resilience.

Anger Management & Emotion Regulation
Through years of work in corrections and community settings, I’ve supported individuals and families in developing healthier ways to manage anger, regulate emotions, and improve relationships.

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. If you’re feeling unsure or simply curious about how therapy might help, I invite you to reach out. I offer a free 20-minute consultation to answer your questions, explore your goals, and see if we’re a good fit. When you’re ready, support is here.

Jamie is available for consultations throughout Colorado and currently accepts Mediciad. He is process for Aetna, United, BCBS/Anthem, Kaiser Permanente and Cigna. He also works with out-of-network insurances and self-pay clients.
